The MAC Desquared collection has just arrived! MAC is one of my favorite and most beloved brands of all time! This collection features new Greasepaint sticks, a lip erase which is a must have for any artist (or anyone!), sculpt and shape powder and the 165 tapered highlight/contour brush! The greasepaint sticks are new to the line and look similar to shadesticks. The greasepaint sticks are meant to have a look that's a little bit more edgy. They are awesome for doing dramatic and intense looks, but if used right you can wear them anywhere. I picked up V which is a beautiful vibrant orchid color and the basic stick that came out with the style black collection. They wear great and the pigmentation is awesome, but make sure to wear a good base like urban deacy primer potion because without a base they will move a little on the eyelid. I would say for sure pick these up for your kit or personal collection because you can do some awesome looks! The next thing I picked up is the lip erase in dim. This is an awesome product because in the past I have used concealer or powder to make the lips have a clean colorless palette. The lip erase is a great product that doesn't dry your lips out to much but allows your lip color to be more true and vibrant because it takes the natural color out of your lips. It's a great product and an absolute must have for any one's kit!! The sculpt and shape powders that came out is exciting news!! Normally you could only get "sculpting and shaping" powders from MAC from their pro website, but these are sold at regular counters so they are easily accessible for everyone! The bone beige/emphasize is for lighter skin tones and the accentuate/sculpt would be for darker. These are great for contouring and highlighting the planes of the face to really define your features! It's also so convenient having both contour and a coordinating highlight in the same package! Lastly is the brush! This brush is a limited edition and was brought out a few collections back and then made a comeback for this collection. It is an awesome brush for contouring and highlighting the face it has a perfect domed top to fit into the contours of the face to blend out powder to really define features. All in all I found some really exciting stuff this time at MAC, for those of you who thought style black was to harsh, this collection is still edgy, but is very wearable! So those are the products I would recommend! There are picture swatches below so you can check it out!!
Stay Tuned I will post a look using my new Dsquared Collection soon!!
